San Juan River 3 days 2 nights

Day 1.  Arrive Sabalos Lodge.

Our adventure starts by traveling through area once known as the Gold Rout to California. This trip is guided by a captain that is an expert in the river and knowledgeable of all the regional legends and who knows the location of the burrows of the animals that live on the river banks, such as otters, alligator, etc. Also, you will be able to observe a vast variety of monkeys and a enormous diversity of migrating birds, such as eagles, falcons, blue jays, herons, etc.

We arrive at SABALOS LODGE before lunch and have a free afternoon to enjoy the environment.

Free activities you can enjoy at SABALOS LODGE:

Day 2. tour to Indio Maíz National Reserve and El Castillo Fortress.

In the morning Visit Indio Maiz National Reserve to walk through the jungle, there go to El Castillo town, have lunch and visit the Fortress, which was built by the Spaniards to protect the city of Granada from the English pirates; even the famous Lord Nelson tried to conquer it. At the end of the day returns to Sabalos Lodge

 

Day 3.  During the morning free activities in SABALOS LODGE, then we will get the lunch early to be on a good time to catch the plane to fly to Managua.

 

A series of walking paths surround the Lodge are prime locations to observe amphibious reptiles near the river or creek, to observe birds on the canopy of the forest, wait for the hummingbirds to come to the feeders,
Rafting in the San Juan waters;
Visit and swim around the island in front of the lodge;
Horseback riding;
or Just lay back on a hammock, relax and enjoy the view and hospitality.
